We couldn’t do what we do without the incredible support of our team of volunteers.
Volunteering at the Ostomy Association of Melbourne is a powerful way to support individuals navigating life with a stoma. Whether you’re a member, caregiver, relative or simply someone with a compassionate heart, your time and talents can help create a community of connectedness and support, and help ostomates access critical health supplies.
There are many volunteer roles at OAM – picking orders, packing parcels, stocking shelves, filing and admin, stock handling in the warehouse, or governance roles on the Committee of Management. Office and warehouse roles are usually a few hours once per week at our Burwood distribution centre. Committee of Management roles are usually one meeting every two to three months (in person or via zoom) and out of sessions emails as necessary.
